With an increase in health consciousness, consumers are trying hard to either lose weight or maintain their weight. Other than a regular exercise routine, food supplements are often taken to keep those unwanted pounds off and one such product is the slimming tea.

Sell-through Rate: Did you really find a hot niche?
I’d say we found a good niche this week, it’s difficult to argue with a 64.77% sell-through rate!
Always check for a product’s sell-through rate before buying a wholesale lot. Remember one of the key indicators of how well a product will do in the market is its sell-through rate. Try to go for products showing a sell-through rate of at least 50%.
Median End Price: Is there enough room for profit?
I know the median end price for the month of March looks enticing at $8.77, but please note that the median end price on eBay can be ambiguous because the median end price is for all listings which can include bulk listings that sell two or more slimming tea products in a single listing. This definitely skews our data.
To give you a better view of how much slimming teas are selling for on eBay, I have added the snapshot of what the average price and average Buy It Now prices were for the month of March.
Total Listings, Total Bids and Total Sellers: How viable is your market?
Here’s another product that has roughly almost twice as many bids as listings – definitely a good sign that you won’t have too much competition!
Based on the data for the month of March there are 1,969 bids for slimming tea while there are only 877 total listings made by 510 sellers. This looks really promising!
Data Trends: Are sellers hitting their target?
The lowest total revenue recorded for March is $125.41, not bad seeing that our median end price is $8.77, meanwhile the highest total revenue is $545.41.
From the graph above you can easily see that the sales rate is relatively consistent without a day going less than $100.
